- Os riscos de segurança como vemos actualmente servem de pretexto para haver uma abdicação de liberdades e direitos individuais em prol de mais protecção. Hoje em dia qualquer situação pode ser risco.

- Gostava de saber quais são os parâmetros para não se ter um comportamento mais esquisito.

- Este parágrafo descreve na perfeição como poderá ser a nossa adaptação ao sistema biométrico, grotesco na sua mais profunda raiz.

"One may well ask whether there can ever be a legal and ethical justification for filtering out people for further inspection and interviewing based on such intimate bodily parameters. Moreover, the intent to detect mental and emotional states, based on their presumed correlation with these physiological signs, signifies the introduction of a form of privacy invasion of a new dimension altogether, one that will inevitably lead to people having to justify their emotional and mental states."

- Eles mesmo sabem do perigo que consiste a implementação desta merda já que o Hide Project centra-se precisamente nessa barreira que é a privacidade.
Compreendem que quando eles se dão ao trabalho de criar projectos como este, o resultado final será aquele que foi descrito aqui, nestas páginas até agora.

- Ter que justificar qualquer estado mental ou emocional só porque uma máquina assim o entende é algo de verdadeiramente irracional, mesmo para quem se possa estar a cagar para isto.

Multi Modality

- Já estamos sem poder, basta estes senhores desenharem estes projectos e ninguém saber da sua existência para isso acontecer, se isto fosse discutido na praça pública o assunto era arrumado em três tempos.

A fórmula (XLV)

Nunca abandonámos o cérebro reptiliano, essa forma primitiva de cognição onde as regras são básicas e instintivamente voláteis. Por isso resolvi colocar essa frase do Kissinger que para mim representa esse estado de consciência do qual dificilmente sairemos.
Nessa região as as emoções não existem, temos apenas o matar antes de ser morto, se bem que hoje em dia mata-se, mesmo quando o outro não nos quer mal nenhum.

O que eu proponho, é que entremos dentro da mente de alguém que vê o mundo como um palco de guerra, onde o conflito bélico é usado como meio de expansão territorial, não como arma de defesa, onde a filosofia parece ser a de conquistar tudo até ao último palmo.

Para isso irei recorrer a uma revista que se chama "Parameters", é editada pela Army War College e alberga textos escritos por oficiais e psico sociais, cujo destino são patentes de topo da cadeia militar, não é uma magazine que o público em geral vá comprar ou que saiba sequer que existe. 

O texto é de 1997 e foi escrito por um senhor chamado Ralph Peters que na altura pertencia aos serviços de inteligência onde estava responsável pelo departamento de "guerras futuras", têm ainda um mestrado em relações internacionais e é autor de vários livros.
Este gabinete de guerras futuras não se destina a desenvolver armas mas sim a criar formas de penetrar nas outras culturas e sociedades.

Constant conflict

"We have entered an age of constant conflict. Information is at once our core commodity and the most destabilizing factor of our time. Until now, history has been a quest to acquire information; today, the challenge lies in managing information. Those of us who can sort, digest, synthesize, and apply relevant knowledge soar--professionally, financially, politically, militarily, and socially. We, the winners, are a minority."

"For the world masses, devastated by information they cannot manage or effectively interpret, life is "nasty, brutish . . . and short-circuited." The general pace of change is overwhelming, and information is both the motor and signifier of change. Those humans, in every country and region, who cannot understand the new world, or who cannot profit from its uncertainties, or who cannot reconcile themselves to its dynamics, will become the violent enemies of their inadequate governments".

- Gosto em particular dos termos "Those humans", "world masses" e "we, the winners". A informação é a arma mais importante para os serviços de inteligência e com as redes sociais tornou-se imperativo saber o que fazer com milhões de bytes que outrora eram classificados como dados pessoais.

"The contemporary expansion of available information is immeasurable, uncontainable, and destructive to individuals and entire cultures unable to master it. The radical fundamentalists--the bomber in Jerusalem or Oklahoma City, the moral terrorist on the right or the dictatorial multiculturalist on the left--are all brothers and sisters, all threatened by change, terrified of the future, and alienated by information they cannot reconcile with their lives or ambitions. They ache to return to a golden age that never existed, or to create a paradise of their own restrictive design. They no longer understand the world, and their fear is volatile."

"Information destroys traditional jobs and traditional cultures; it seduces, betrays, yet remains invulnerable. How can you counterattack the information others have turned upon you? There is no effective option other than competitive performance. For those individuals and cultures that cannot join or compete with our information empire, there is only inevitable failure (of note, the internet is to the techno-capable disaffected what the United Nations is to marginal states: it offers the illusion of empowerment and community). The attempt of the Iranian mullahs to secede from modernity has failed, although a turbaned corpse still stumbles about the neighborhood. Information, from the internet to rock videos, will not be contained, and fundamentalism cannot control its children. Our victims volunteer."

- De realçar que mesmo sendo militar a sua forma de conquistar os inimigos parece ser a de usar a cultura americana e toda a sua informação de plástico, de modo a infiltrar-se e atingir as "victims volunteer".

"It is fashionable among world intellectual elites to decry "American culture," with our domestic critics among the loudest in complaint. But traditional intellectual elites are of shrinking relevance, replaced by cognitive-practical elites--figures such as Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, Madonna, or our most successful politicians--human beings who can recognize or create popular appetites, recreating themselves as necessary.

Contemporary American culture is the most powerful in history, and the most destructive of competitor cultures. While some other cultures, such as those of East Asia, appear strong enough to survive the onslaught by adaptive behaviors, most are not. The genius, the secret weapon, of American culture is the essence that the elites despise: ours is the first genuine people's culture. It stresses comfort and convenience--ease--and it generates pleasure for the masses. We are Karl Marx's dream, and his nightmare."

- O soft power são todas aquelas figuras que apesar de não terem uma matriz politica, estão envolvidas em causas sociais. Estas estrelas têm mais sucesso na mensagem que passam do que os gnus que governam os seus países, por isso é que organizações como a UNESCO, ONU, e demais governos os envolvem na paródia.

- A cultura americana usada como arma, introduz nas restantes sociedades o que ele denomina de "adaptive behaviors", ou seja,  as pessoas filtram e modificam o seu comportamento com o passar dos anos, adaptam-se a uma nova realidade.
O doutor da Oprah é agora o doutor de milhares de outras pessoas que não americanas, os seus livros são traduzidos em dezenas de línguas. Assim, e lentamente passa a haver uma substituição de costumes e valores desse país que recebe de braços abertos o lixo mediático.

- Ele têm razão quando diz que esta cultura foi gerada para as pessoas, a tarefa incumbida aos senhores de Hollywood foi a de precisamente criar e dar às massas aquilo que vocês hoje conhecem como cultura Pop.
